Usercentrics Cookie Manager
Here is how to apply the Usercentric website cookie management tool to your website.
Creating your Cookie Manager
First go to the pricing page of Usercentrics and hit "Get Started"
You will need to enter some details in order to register.
Once you have done this, an email will be sent to your email address to verify your account. Click the link in the email to be able to log into your Usercentrics account.
Once you are logged in, you can set up your cookie control:
Next go to Service Settings and hit the Initial Scan button. This will scan your website to see what services are integrated with your website and need to be included in your cookie control.
Once you have hit this, you will need to wait for an email to arrive in your inbox to confirm the scan is complete. This can take up to 24 hours, but normally happens much faster. When the email comes through, you need to hit the button in the email that says - Go to results page
Once you have sorted your services into the categories, you are almost there. Next go to the Appearance tab.
Within this section you can control how you would like the cookie manager to appear on your school website.
Schudio Tip - make sure you update the colour options within the Styling section so the tool fits in with your website branding/colours
Finally, within the content section, you can amend the standard messages that show in the banner if you would like to tweak it to reflect the tone that you normally communicate with your website audience.
How to apply the cookie manager to your Schudio Website
Now you have created your widget, you are ready to apply it to your school website.
First go to the implementation tab within Usercentrics and copy the Script Tag....
... then paste it in to the Additional Code field within your Schudio Website (found under Information >> Tracking) Then hit the Update button.
The cookie manager will then appear on your website according to the style options you selected.
